He said her death made him realise that she “might have been the most important thing in his life”.
Sir Tom married Linda in 1957, when they were both 16 in his home town of Pontypridd. Evening Standard Online has contacted representatives for Sir Tom and Presley for comment.
The family settled in a large apartment in a "vintage building constructed long before World War I".
Soon after moving in, the Beaulieus realized that it was a brothel, but due to scarce housing, they were forced to remain there. They were frequently together until Elvis left West Germany in March 1960.
Sparks are flying between Priscilla Presley and Sir Tom Jones!
But Sir Tom has directly addressed the rumours and shot them down - insisting the nights out were purely platonic.
She took his surname and over the next few years she grew up quickly, helping to care for the growing family as her stepfather's Air Force career moved them from Connecticut to New Mexico to Maine.
In her own words, she described herself during this period as "a shy, pretty little girl unhappily accustomed to moving from base to base every two or three years".
After Elvis left West Germany, Priscilla was inundated with requests for interviews from media outlets around the world.
After Elvis' return to America, the couple stayed in contact over the phone, though they would not see each other again until the summer of 1962, when Priscilla's parents agreed to let her visit for two weeks.
